TrackHalal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 6, 2026

TrackHalal helps Muslims evaluate exact packaged food items with proof-first halal screening. The app also includes optional support tools such as prayer times, nearby places, and personal logs. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

Important: TrackHalal provides AI-assisted halal screening, not certified religious rulings. Users should verify unclear products with trusted halal authorities, manufacturers, or certification bodies.

Information we handle

How we use data

Third-party services

TrackHalal currently uses Firebase services for app infrastructure, anonymous authentication, cloud data storage, and analytics. When AI-assisted ingredient analysis is enabled, submitted label photos or typed ingredients may be processed by one or more supported AI providers configured by the app to return scan results. If network-backed analysis is unavailable, the app may fall back to a more conservative local screening path.

Permissions

Data retention

TrackHalal stores current app state on your device and may sync scan history, pack proof history, prayer logs, meal logs, and preferences to Firebase using an anonymous app identity. That cloud-backed history remains associated with the active anonymous identity used by the app unless it is deleted from our backend or the storage model changes in a future release.

Children

TrackHalal is not directed to children under 13.
