Frequently Asked Questions
What is submission-ready?
A submission-ready dossier means all documents, ingredient proofs, and facility layouts have been compiled, reviewed by our Technical Reviewer, and formatted to meet the specific requirements of the target certification body. It is ready for you to submit.
How long does review take?
Our Technical Reviewer typically completes the initial review of your uploaded documents within 3-5 business days. Complex dossiers with many ingredients may take longer.
What documents do I need?
Common requirements include product formulations, raw material specifications, supplier halal certificates, facility flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for halal assurance.
Which cert bodies do you work with?
We prepare dossiers aligned with OIC/SMIIC 1-2019 standards, which are widely accepted. We specifically tailor documentation for BPJPH (Indonesia), JAKIM (Malaysia), and MUIS (Singapore) requirements.
Can you guarantee approval?
No. We guarantee that your dossier will be "submission-ready" and compliant with the documented standards of the certification body. The final approval decision rests solely with the certification body (e.g., BPJPH, JAKIM, MUIS) after their audit process.
What markets do you cover?
Our primary focus is on Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) and the Middle East (GCC countries adopting SMIIC standards).
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on the complexity of your product lines, the number of ingredients, and the specific certification bodies you are targeting. We offer project-based pricing for initial dossiers and retainer options for ongoing compliance.
What happens after dossier submission?
After you submit the dossier, the certification body will review it and schedule an audit. If they issue any non-conformances (NCRs) related to the documentation we prepared, we will assist you in addressing them.
Can I track progress?
Yes, your TrackHalal dashboard provides real-time status updates on your dossier preparation, showing which documents are approved, pending, or require your attention.
What if my supplier's cert is expired?
An expired supplier certificate cannot be used for a new submission. You must obtain an updated certificate from your supplier or source an alternative halal-certified ingredient. Our Expiry Tracker tool helps you monitor these dates.
